I Used to Dream in Color - Anonymous, age 10

I used to dream in color
Now I dream in black and white
I might not know just why,
But I know it isn’t right.

I used to look for rainbows,
To, in darkness, find the light,
But now I’ve lost my talent
And it’s always, always night.

I’ve lost my way completely,
But maybe I can find
The path that I lost in the blizzard
The path I left behind.

I know I cannot change a thing
If it happened long ago.
But I can move forward as well as stay back,
And life goes on. That I know.
