jupiter
By Kara, age 17
the jupiter i knew
was beautiful
she loved hugs
and starbucks coffee
chick-fil-a napkins
and straw wrappers
being called my love
my recklessness
early mornings and late nights
and sitting under the stars.
she forgave me for the flat tires
way too low gas tank
cigarette smoke
extra loud music
and chocolate spilled on the seats
jupiter returned to the atmosphere
too soon
i can still hear her radio playing
echoing off meteorites
revolving around suns greater than our own
